About Me
I am Kate, chief enameller at Kalouco Towers.
I have always needed creative projects to keep my hands busy and my mind from spiralling into a rabbit hole. When life began to get disproportionately screen based I decided to learn something new that would involve NO COMPUTERS (well almost) and so my enamel jewellery business was born.
I love the tactility of making things and my eyes are always happier when there are splashes of colour about.
I live and work in Sheffield and help to run the marvellous Sheffield Makers Shop who champion all things made in Sheffield.
I stock my work in their Winter Gardens store and online shop.
I also run a photography and art business over at Kate Cooper Photography. It seems I like to keep my hands full :)
I work from my home studio alongside my furry partner in crime Stanley who is always super helpful and never eats things he shouldn't.
He has his own instagram
cos he tells me that's what all the cool dogs are doing these days.
